What is Tallow?
Tallow is produced when suet (beef kidney fat) is rendered down, eliminating impurities and leaving a pure substance called tallow. Because it comes from a mammal, tallow is extremely similar to the sebum on our skin. It can be better absorbed into our skin than plant or petroleum based products because of this. Tallow works to build your moisture barrier back, all while reducing redness and without clogging pores.
Tallow contains fat soluble vitamins K, D, and E, as well as fatty acids omega 3, stearic acid, and conjugated linoleic acid. It is able to penetrate the lipid skin barrier to deliver and retain moisture, reduce inflammation, and protect against free radicals.
Tallow can be used for general moisturizing as well as to help heal rashes, eczema, psoriasis, acne, sunburns, cracked hands and feet, and reduce the look of scars. It can also be used for aftershave, moisturizing the ends of hair, increasing your overall glow!

This is my 2nd whipped tallow tin I've gotten from Mabel's, the first one I bought in-person in Kelowna and it was the regular un-sented one. absolutely in love. It lasted me from June to about a week ago, which is a long time. Cleared up all my acne. I decided to buy some more, and thought I'd give the chai tallow a try, because I love chai.
I did not think this product could get better. It smells phenomenal. It's so smooth. I'm in heaven. I wish I could bathe in this.

I originally met Rachael at a farmers market near sicamous. I thought i would try her product because i do suffer from minor psoriasis but I now use it everywhere to combat our terribly dry Alberta winters. While other creams you apply and they are gone the tallow seems to stick with u and keep you moisturized all day. Mabel's Tallow is such a nice product and why wouldn't I support a young entrepreneur!
