This nourishing lip chap is created with only two clean ingredients: locally sourced tallow and organic beeswax, lovingly poured into a pocket-sized metal, twist top container. 

We've kept this classic chap unscented and simple, for smooth and happy lips for everyone!

This chap is safe for use on children or folks with sensitive skin. 

Ideal for use in windy, dry areas, or for folks who spend a lot of time outdoors enjoying all the elements.

Care information

  • Warmer months: store out of direct sunlight, in cool location.

  • Colder months: store at room temperature.

  • If your chap becomes too stiff for your preference, move it into a sunny area to soften. If it becomes too soft, you can move it back to a cooler location.

Shuswap Chap – Mabel’s Tallow Review (for Kids)

Picked up a small jar of Shuswap Chap for my daughter — and it’s exactly what I was hoping for. Clean, gentle, and tough enough to handle whatever she throws at it.

No chemicals, no fake scents, just pure, local tallow that goes on smooth and protects her skin from wind, cold, and whatever else comes with tagging along on dad’s mountain rides or outdoor days. A little goes a long way, and I don’t have to worry about what’s in it.

I trust this stuff enough to use it on my kid — and that says everything.

First time user of the chap. I love this lip balm. It goes on smooth and doesn’t have a taste. And over time it doesn’t leave little bits of chap on your lips. A great product for sure!
